Get Your Money's Worth with Archos MP3 Players

There is truthfully just one bonafide market leader when it comes to portable media devices for music and videos, and that is absolutely the Apple iPod. That being said however, doesn't insinuate that it is the only iPod on the market that's good. There are numerous exceptional alternatives to the ubiquitous Apple brand that are comparable not only in features but also in quality and cost. For example, the latest Gen 5 line of Archos MP3 players gets my vote as the greatest device for the money. I purchased the 80GB 605 Wifi model a few months ago and am completely won over that I made the right choice in ditching my iPod.
There are many characteristics that separate Archos MP3 players from the rest of the pack. It of course plays music like all the rest of them, and with the 80 gigs of storage that I have, I've been able to put every song that I have onto the 605 WiFi with tons of room left over. Many digital file types are supported, including .mp3, .wav, and .wma (protected or not). This means I don't have to mess around with conversion software before loading the songs, making Archos MP3 players far more convenient and versatile than other products.
The Gen 5 line up is much more than a simple music player though. Archos MP3 players have a superb 4.3-inch full-color touchscreen that can be activated with the touch of a finger or the included stylus, making navigation through the various menus a simple task. The outstanding quality of the display makes it perfect for watching TV shows, streaming YouTube videos, or even watching movies. The picture is amazingly sharp and shows up plainly in lots of diverse lighting situations. Whenever I see somebody trying to watch a movie or something on their tiny iPod monitor I just have to shake my head and feels sorry for them. The Archos MP3 player is a lot better choice than the smaller iPod so there's no reason to put yourself through the misery of that situation.
What I love most about Archos MP3 players is the way I can deal with all of my contents without having to be tied to a laptop. Because of the wifi connection, I'm able to download songs, movies, and other videos on the go. To make things even better, the Archos player is equipped with the Opera web browser which makes it incredibly simple for me to browse the web play games and check my e-mail. Try to do that on many of the other devices out there. With those other brands, you're basically stuck with whatever content is on the player already, and can't perform an update until the next time you're sitting in front of your PC.
If you're seriously considering the purchase of a portable media player, stand out from the clique and make the investment into something that's a bunch better than the name brand iPod. Instead, I recommend giving Gen 5 Archos MP3 players a try. They are a lot more sophisticated technically and they have better prices than all of the rivalry. Receiving more for less... isn't that what intelligent shopping is all about?
