For any business, be it small or large, it is very important to have crisp and state of the art administration, management and equipment, in order to be successful and be able to achieve its targets. Not only this, it is also important for every business to keep up with its good image and reputation that it has managed to build over time. Having a good reputation helps adds many benefits when it comes to building and maintaining useful relationships with the existing clients and also in attracting new clients and investors. Along with all other things, the stationary that a business uses, helps greatly in creating an impression.
Anything that a company uses in hard form to communicate with its clients and the associates is termed as stationary, in which paper is a major component. The items that are used in communication, playing a major role in creating an impression, consists of letterheads, envelops, invoices, shipping labels, calling cards, calendars, presentation folders etc. Before going for the stationary, the most important thing is to determine your brand; your brand should be such that delivers the image that you want to convey and become a symbol of recognition for your business, so that whenever you communicate that impression is conveyed across. Therefore, the business stationary is a key component in building and communicating that brand image.
When you communicate with someone, using your official stationary, you are making an impression to the person on the other end of the communication. The image and the impression that the stationary as well as the writing on it conveys to the other person or party is irrespective of the purpose; it may be an introductory letter, a business card, an invoice, a proposal or may be an invitation.
As said earlier, the office stationary is a great means of building your business image. Therefore, it is important to keep one source of getting this stationary. This makes it definite that the specifications would be met if the supplier is the same. Once you have a single supplier, you must carefully make sure that he provides you with all the stuff you need so that every piece of stationary is same, and you do not have to deal with more than one supplier. A full office stationary set contains business cards, letterhead, which shall include departmental letterheads too, envelopes available in a wide range of sizes so as to be used as required, different invoices, receipts, purchase orders, shipping labels, internal use forms, which may cover fields of inventory, billing, orders, and supply request.
Colour selection of the paper is also very important as it also helps creating an image. To make it more trendy and bold, the colours should be fresh and clear. As for the font, the ones of the round edges should be used as they give finer look, the surface of the paper should be fine and finished in a glossy look. Some companies want to convey the image of going green and being environment-friendly. In order to create an image that conveys that you are environment-friendly and that you want to go green then you better keep it simple. Use stuff for your stationary that conveys the same impression such as using un-dyed paper and also matte and rough surfaces, instead of fine and glossy. For business entities that want to create a classy image, they should better be careful in their colour selection. For a classy look pastel and rather soft tone shades of blue, grey and white should be used and the fonts should be such as of calligraphic style.
